Basketball Recap: Indian Land Falls Despite Big Games from Emily Callahan and Jordyn Johnson

Indian Land was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Greenville Red Raiders, falling 56-34.

Indian Land's loss came despite strong showings from Jordyn Johnson and Emily Callahan. Johnson went 5-for-8 to rack up 13 points, while Callahan posted ten points. The dominant performance also gave Johnson a new career-high in shooting accuracy (63%).

Ava Owens was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards for Greenville. Owens is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kailee Williams, who had seven points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Indian Land's defeat dropped their record down to 6-21. As for Greenville, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-12.

Indian Land does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greenville, they will take on Fort Mill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Mill will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Greenville surely won't give up without a fight.
