Basketball Recap: Glenvar Takes a Loss

Glenvar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 35th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 58-21 loss at the hands of the James River Knights. While losing is never fun, the Highlanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 381st, while the Knights are ranked 109th).

Glenvar's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for James River, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenvar has already played their next game (against Patrick County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. James River will challenge Alleghany at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
