Baseball Recap: University Prep Starts off Right with Win over Enterprise

University Prep had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victor by a 9-0 margin over the Enterprise Hornets. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.

The team relied heavily on Waylon Stripling, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was David Wenham, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers face off against the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Enterprise, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Enterprise has now lost 12 straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 3.
