Baseball Recap: Randle Takes a Loss

Randle had lost four straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 10-9-1 to make it five. They came up short against the Victoria West Warriors, falling 8-0. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Warriors when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Randle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ced McClintick, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

As for Victoria West, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

On Victoria West's side, Aiden Deleon was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 19 over seven innings pitched. Those 19 strikeouts gave Deleon a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hector Hernandez, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Another player making a difference was Ethan Guerra, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

While Randle had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
