Basketball Recap: Sandhills Bucks vs. Jefferson Davis Academy Raiders

This season hasn't been kind to the Sandhills Bucks, who are still winless after their 11th match. They had to suffer through a rough 66-32 loss at the hands of Jefferson Davis Academy. Sandhills was down 53-26 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Jefferson Davis Academy was led to victory by Reese Still and Brian Montejano. Still scored 15 points along with two steals, while Montejano dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Still has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Payne, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Sandhills dropped their record down to 0-11 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Jefferson Davis Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.

Sandhills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jefferson Davis Academy will head out on the road to square off against the Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
