Recap: Canute Trojans vs. Turpin Cardinals
The Canute Trojans won the last time they faced the Turpin Cardinals, and things went their way on Friday too. Canute narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Turpin 50-47. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Canute has scored all season.
Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gunner Post, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Peters, who scored 12 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Canute and bumps their season record up to 11-2. As for Turpin, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Canute and Hooker will face off on January 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hooker is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Turpin and Merritt will face off at 4:40 p.m. on January 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
