Baseball Recap: South Side Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Eden Christian Academy, South Side was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Fort Cherry Rangers by a score of 15-10. The Rams have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rangers, too.

South Side let Rj Fisher and Andrew MAdejA run wild. Fisher scored three runs while going 3-for-5, while Madeja went 2-for-5 with one home run and three RBI. Andrew Corfield was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-6.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: South Side kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Cherry only managed seven hits.

The victory got South Side back to even at 1-1. As for Fort Cherry, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Side will welcome Apollo Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Fort Cherry, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bethlehem Center at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
