There's no place like home for Soquel, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down the Valley Christian Warriors 27-10 on Friday.
Sam Whelan was a one-man wrecking crew for Soquel as he rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 141 yards and a touchdown on perfect 7-for-7passing. That's the most rushing yards Whelan has posted since back in September of 2023.
Soquel's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jake Escalante.
