Volleyball Game Preview: Shawnee Indians vs. Lexington Minutemen

The Shawnee Indians will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Lexington Minutemen at 6:00 p.m. Shawnee will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Shawnee picked up another tournament win on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Defiance.

Shawnee was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-8, 22-25, 25-10.

Sami Rettig went supernova, getting 12 digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September.

Rettig wasn't the only good servers: Shawnee was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in eight consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Lexington got the win against Ontario on Monday by a conclusive 3-0. The Minutemen haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Shawnee's record now sits at 19-5. As for Lexington, their record is now 20-4.
