Mills has won five straight games at home, while Mercy has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Vikings will welcome the Bears at 4:00 p.m. Mills is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
Mills' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Gunn. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Hailey Pedroza tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Mills got a massive performance out of Jazzy Maske, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. Those three doubles gave Maske a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Esquivel, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Mills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gunn only posted an OBP of .067.
Meanwhile, Mercy might've scored the first runs on Wednesday, but it was Lowell who claimed the real prize. The Bears took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals.
Aveline Anderson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Andrea Martin was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
Mills has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 11-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Mercy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mills hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .348. However, it's not like Mercy struggles in that department as they've averaged .322. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Mills took their win against Mercy in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 22-6 score. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
