Baseball Recap: Loyalton Drops Season-High Score on Fall River

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Loyalton). They blew past the Fall River Bulldogs 18-5 on Friday. With that victory, the Grizzlies brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Preston Hubbs was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Gus Petterson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Loyalton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in five consecutive matches.

Loyalton now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Fall River, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Loyalton will take on Lincoln at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fall River, they will take on Biggs in a tournament on Saturday.
