Gainesville waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 54-41 win over the Buchholz Bobcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 78-51 back in December of 2024.

Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Evan Walker, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 13 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Lucas Bhatia, who posted five points in addition to six steals and five assists.

Gainesville is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for Buchholz, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Newberry the next time they take the court. Buchholz will head out to face Newberry at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Gainesville will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
