Baseball Recap: Messalonskee Comes Up Short

Messalonskee was the 3-1 winner over Oxford Hills when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 6-3 to the Vikings on Saturday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Messalonskee's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Oxford Hills, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1.

Looking ahead, Messalonskee will head out on the road to square off against Mt. Blue at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oxford Hills, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-1 win against Skowhegan on the 2nd.
