Soccer Recap: Lanier Takes a Loss

Lanier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They came up short against the Edison Golden Bears, falling 6-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Edison this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 back in January.

Lanier's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Edison, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lanier is set to face off against their familiar foe Highlands at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Edison will square off against rival Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
