New Castle lost to Daleville back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Trojans walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Broncos. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Sydney Dobbs spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up 12 Ks.

On the hitting side, Kattie Mathews was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Allison Perdew also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: New Castle kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

New Castle's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Daleville, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-6.

New Castle wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-3 loss against Yorktown on the 17th. As for Daleville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-6 defeat against Tri on the 19th.
