Newark Catholic got themselves on the board against Lakewood on Friday, but Lakewood never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Lancers. The Green Wave might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

Newark Catholic's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Lakewood, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newark Catholic will welcome Granville Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Granville Christian Academy's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Newark Catholic's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
