Rock Falls has gone 8-2 against Winnebago recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Rockets will look to defend their home field against the Indians at 4:30 p.m.

Rock Falls fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Dixon on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Dukes & Duchesses by a score of 4-3. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zoey Silva spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Korah Hosler made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Winnebago earned a 9-4 win over Genoa-Kingston on Monday.

Winnebago also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Vern Gilley-Amdal gave up three earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits. Gilley-Amdal has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Grace Corl, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyla Warkentien, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Winnebago kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Rock Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Winnebago, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.

Rock Falls was able to grind out a solid win over Winnebago in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 19-15. Do the Rockets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
