Wink had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.9 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Loop Longhorns, sneaking past 48-46. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Wink's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayden Tally led the charge by going 5-for-10 on his way to 10 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Hunter Guynes, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds.

Wink smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Wink pushed their record up to 23-9 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points over those games. As for Loop, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 25-6.

Wink and Loop are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Wink will welcome Ropes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Loop, they will take on Amherst at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
