Basketball Recap: Nemaha Central Comes Up Short

Nemaha Central was the 53-45 winner over St. Marys when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Nemaha Central Thunder lost to the St. Marys Bears on the road by a 60-44 margin on Tuesday.

Nemaha Central's defeat dropped their record down to 14-2. As for St. Marys, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nemaha Central will challenge Riley County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Riley County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for St. Marys, they will face off against Silver Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Marys knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Silver Lake likes a good challenge.
