Strawberry Crest has gone a perfect 10-0 against Tampa Bay Tech recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Strawberry Crest Chargers will host the Tampa Bay Tech Titans at 7:00 p.m. Strawberry Crest has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight losses, while Tampa Bay Tech will come in with five straight wins.
Things were looking good for Strawberry Crest after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-5 to Wharton, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
Strawberry Crest saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Destiny Bryant, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
While Tampa Bay Tech didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Leto 17-7 on Monday. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by ten runs or more this season.
Grace B was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off one hit. That hit marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Tampa Bay Tech got a massive performance out of Alanis B, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Taliyah H was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Tampa Bay Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in five consecutive games.
Tampa Bay Tech pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.3 runs. As for Strawberry Crest, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
