Baseball Recap: Rushford-Peterson Takes a Loss

Rushford-Peterson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-5 to the Plainview-Elgin-Millville Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 5-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Rushford-Peterson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Plainview-Elgin-Millville, they moved to 6-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rushford-Peterson will square off against La Crescent at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lancers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Plainview-Elgin-Millville, they will host Zumbrota-Mazeppa at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
