Soccer Game Preview: San Clemente vs. Birmingham

The San Clemente Tritons will be taking part in a tournament against the Birmingham Patriots at 2:50 p.m. on Friday.

Birmingham is facing San Clemente at the wrong time: San Clemente suffered their first home loss of the season last Friday and they're likely out for redemption. They fell just short of the Sea Kings by a score of 3-2. The loss was the Tritons' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Birmingham kept a clean sheet against Downey on Monday. They blew past the Vikings 3-0. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won six games by three goals or more so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, San Clemente fell to 2-1-1. As for Birmingham, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.

San Clemente skirted past Birmingham 1-0 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Does San Clemente have another victory up their sleeve, or will Birmingham turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
