Oxon Hill is 9-1 against Douglass since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Oxon Hill Clippers are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will take on the Douglass Eagles at 6:30 p.m.

While losing is never fun, the Clippers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 135th in Maryland, while the Colts are ranked first in District of Columbia).

Meanwhile, Douglass didn't have too much breathing room in their match against New Town last Saturday, but they still walked away with a 60-54 victory.

Douglass' win came from a few key players Oxon Hill will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Khloe Thomas, who went 9 of 15 en route to 20 points and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Naiy'Lah Crutchfield, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine blocks.

Douglass is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Oxon Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Everything came up roses for Oxon Hill against Douglass in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the team secured an 89-20 win. In that contest, Oxon Hill amassed a halftime lead of 61-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
