Harvey takes loss despite strong efforts from Deontae Ware and Chase Goines

Recap: Harvey Red Raiders vs. Perry Pirates
The Harvey Red Raiders lost against the Perry Pirates back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Harvey suffered a tough 74-52 loss at the hands of Perry. Harvey has not had much luck with Perry recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Harvey's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Chase Goines, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds, and Deontae Ware who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Davon Badley was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
Harvey's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Perry, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harvey will take on Jefferson Area at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Jefferson Area's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches. As for Perry, they will head out on the road to face off against Geneva at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Geneva will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
