Baseball Recap: LaBrae Vikings vs. Garfield G-Men
LaBrae fell victim to Garfield and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the G-Men by a score of 2-0. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the G-Men earlier this season, when they won 7-5.
Easton Armstrong was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases. Alex Prouty also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
This is the second loss in a row for LaBrae and nudges their season record down to 10-5. As for Garfield, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-8.

The Rockets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Garfield, they will head out on the road to square off against Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
