Soccer Game Preview: Ariton vs. Houston Academy

Ariton is 0-3 against Houston Academy since March of 2023 but things could change on Thursday. The Purple Cats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Ariton fell victim to Northside Methodist Academy and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. Ariton have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Houston Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak back in March. They fell 3-1 to Providence Christian.

Houston Academy's goal came courtesy of Nate Selig, who's now up to 44 this season.

Houston Academy's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 13-4. As for Ariton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-1.
