Monroe Central has gone 8-2 against Delta recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Monroe Central Golden Bears will square off against the Delta Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Monroe Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season.
Monroe Central will head out to face Delta after giving up their first home loss of the season on Saturday. The game between Monroe Central and Union County didn't end well, with Monroe Central falling 52-37.

Despite the defeat, Monroe Central got top-tier performance from Addy Puckett, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. Puckett has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played.
Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Delta's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to Shelbyville. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Golden Bears 24-19 in the first quarter.
Monroe Central will need focus on slowing down Griffyn Knight, one of several Delta players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 24 points in addition to seven rebounds and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jillian Barr, who went 6 of 12 en route to 16 points and six boards.
Even though they lost, Delta smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matchups.
Monroe Central's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6. As for Delta, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Monroe Central has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 27.6 boards per game. However, it's not like Delta struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Monroe Central came up short against Delta in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 54-46. Can Monroe Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
