Baseball Recap: Bloomfield Bombers vs. Letchworth Legends

Bloomfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell just short of the Letchworth Legends by a score of 6-5.

Levi Gumaer and Dredger Kyle stepped up to the plate in a big way. Gumaer scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Kyle scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. David Nowak was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

On Letchworth's side, Adam Halsey made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Halsey was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs while going 4-for-4.

Halsey wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Quinn Baker, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 8-12-1. As for Letchworth, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
