Blacklick Valley lost to Meyersdale back in January of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Blacklick Valley Vikings claimed a resounding 59-31 victory over the Meyersdale Red Raiders. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Vikings just coasted through the last quarter.

Blacklick Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Greg Schilling, who went 8 for 18 en route to 22 points. Another player making a difference was Eli Sheesley, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 17 points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Meyersdale's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Aiden Thomas, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds, and Matthew Hainsworth, who posted seven points and eight boards. Meyersdale is 4-2 when Thomas posts ten or more rebounds, but 1-14 otherwise.

The victory made it two in a row for Blacklick Valley and bumps their season record up to 12-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points over those games. As for Meyersdale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Blacklick Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Meyersdale, they are taking a road trip to challenge Berlin Brothersvalley at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Berlin Brothersvalley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.7 points per game this season.
