Basketball Recap: Orland Starts off Right with Win over Pierce + How To Watch

Orland had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They managed a 55-49 victory over the Pierce Bears. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bears, too.

Orland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ty Vlach, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 13 boards. Erik Campos was another key player, going 7-for-14 en route to 21 points.

Orland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive games dating back to last season.

Coming up, Orland will square off against Etna at 12:00 p.m. on December 4. As for Pierce, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wheatland at 7:00 p.m. on December 9.
