Volleyball Recap: Chula Vista Learning Community Charter Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Chula Vista Learning Community Charter waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Victory Christian Academy Knights as they made off with a 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Cobras: when they faced off against the Knights back in September, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21, 25-10.

Kathya Garneri paced Chula Vista Learning Community Charter's offense, picking up 18 kills. Garneri got some help from Yubel Torres and her 29 assists. Garneri was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Chula Vista Learning Community Charter's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Victory Christian Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 10-16 record.

Chula Vista Learning Community Charter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against High Tech Mesa on the 16th. As for Victory Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Horizon Prep at 4:30 p.m.
