Preview: Ridge Christian Academy Paladins vs. Charleston Collegiate Sundevils
Ridge Christian Academy has been on the road for three straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Charleston Collegiate Sundevils at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Two weeks ago, Ridge Christian Academy was beaten by Holly Hill Academy 59-14.
Meanwhile, even though Holly Hill Academy scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, Charleston Collegiate still came out on top. Charleston Collegiate took their contest against Holly Hill Academy 68-55.
Charleston Collegiate's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Thomas Reed led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Grant Morrison, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 assists.
Ridge Christian Academy's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.3 points per game. As for Charleston Collegiate, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Ridge Christian Academy took a serious blow against Charleston Collegiate when the teams last played back in November of 2023, falling 72-26. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Ridge Christian Academy was down 57-9.
