Softball Recap: Northport Makes It Seven in a Row on the Road

While Northport's win against Mary Walker wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 16-14 victory over the Chargers on Monday. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Northport's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Mary Walker, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Northport will take on Republic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mary Walker does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
