Football Recap: Desoto Wins High-Profile Contest Against Waxahachie + How To Watch

DeSoto faced Waxahachie in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Eagles blew past the Indians 40-17. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won eight in a row.

DeSoto's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Feaster, who picked up 118 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 118 receiving yards gave Feaster a new career-high. Another passer making a difference was Legend Howell, who threw for 122 yards and a pair of TDs.

DeSoto didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Waxahachie to a completion percentage of just 26.7%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from three players: Damarion Ross, Ayden Marshall, and Quentin Billings, who each logged one passes deflected. DeSoto wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 57.9%.

DeSoto now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Waxahachie, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
