Volleyball Recap: Lake Highlands Takes a Loss

Lake Highlands came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Wakeland Wolverines. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost three in a row.

Elle Holley paced Lake Highlands' offense, picking up 13 kills. Holley got some help from Carrigan Anderly and her 14 assists. Holley also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lucy Holmes, racking up three apiece.

Lake Highlands' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Wakeland, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Lake Highlands wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Argyle on the 15th. As for Wakeland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Wylie East on the 15th.
