Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Eli Truslow and Aiden Wright Lead King George to Victory

King George won the last time they faced Spotsylvania and things went their way on Tuesday too. The King George Foxes walked away with a 58-47 win over the Spotsylvania Knights.

Leading King George to victory were Aiden Wright and Eli Truslow. Wright almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds, while Truslow dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Wright a new career-high in points. Chantz Wilson was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

King George smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

King George is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Spotsylvania, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

King George didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-53 loss against Chancellor on the 17th. Spotsylvania has also already played their next matchup, a 75-30 defeat against Eastern View on the 15th.
