Basketball Recap: Lyman Greyhounds vs. Lake Brantley Patriots
Lyman lost against Lake Brantley back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lyman Greyhounds fell 41-29 to the Lake Brantley Patriots. The Greyhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Lyman saw an underclassman step up: freshman Samara Oldham posted 15 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Brantley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alana Taylor, who earned ten points. Another player making a difference was Maddie Woodrow, who had nine points.
Lyman's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Lake Brantley, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lyman and Evans will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. As for Lake Brantley, they will square off against Trinity Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Trinity Christian Academy has lost four straight at home , while Lake Brantley has lost seven on the road (dating back to last season).
