Baseball Recap: Parkview Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Parkview took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Belleville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Vikings came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wildcats on Monday, sneaking past 5-3. The win was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on four straight.

The team relied heavily on Louis Nath, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Parkview: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-11 otherwise. Mathias Treinen was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Parkview's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-12. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Belleville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkview will take on Johnson Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Belleville, they will challenge Wisconsin Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
