After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Post, Forsan was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They won a match that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Stanton 34-33. Considering Forsan's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

One reason for the win was Forsan's imposing defensive line, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Korbett Worden and David Ceu, who racked up all five sacks between them. Worden is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least seven every time he's taken the field this season. Owen Bishop got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Vayden Pastrana and Isaiah DeLeon certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Pastrana picked up 247 receiving yards and one score, while DeLeon threw for 289 yards and one TD while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt.

Forsan's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Stanton, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Forsan will square off against Wink at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stanton, they will face off against Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 899 yards in their previous games.
