Mozes Morris Turns in Season-Best Performance

Lake Norman was led to victory by Mozes Morris, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Morris rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now rushed for 111 or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Morris and Lake Norman will face off against South Iredell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last time Morris took on the Vikings, he rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

South Iredell Gets a Boost from Johnson in 38-17 Victory

Tyler Johnson was a major factor in South Iredell's win over A.L. Brown on Friday. Johnson did his part (and then some), throwing for 143 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 60 yards on only seven carries for the 'W'. He is becoming a predictor of South Iredell's success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 0-3 when he doesn't).

Johnson might have his next game, a home matchup with Lake Norman, circled on his calendar. When Johnson last faced the Wildcats back in October of 2023, he rushed for 140 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
