Football Recap: Shawn White's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Panther Creek over Springtown + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Panther Creek couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 49-41 to the Springtown Porcupines on Friday.

Panther Creek's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shawn White, who rushed for 102 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 carries, and also picked up 36 receiving yards and one score. Graylyn Fry was another key signal caller, throwing for 301 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81.1% of his passes.

Jon Anthony Lardizabal had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 292 yards and five TDs while picking up 9.1 yards per carry for Springtown. With that strong performance, Lardizabal is now averaging an impressive 110.1 rushing yards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaine Hill, who threw for 248 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt.

Panther Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Springtown, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Panther Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Springtown, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 64-13 loss against Alvarado on the 28th.
