Volleyball Recap: The Gregory School Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

The Gregory School barely beat Bisbee the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hawks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pumas on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The Gregory School walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-17, 25-9, 25-20.

Emerson Myers paced The Gregory School's offense, picking up eight kills. Myers got some help from Lauren Horowitz and her 22 assists. Myers was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

The Gregory School pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Bisbee, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

The Gregory School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 win against San Simon on the 30th. As for Bisbee, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Tombstone at 6:00 p.m. on September 9.
