Basketball Recap: Eula Comes Up Short

Eula was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 64-43 to the Whitharral Panthers.

Whitharral's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Damian Rodriguez, who went 8-for-13 to rack up 20 points and seven assists. Rodriguez is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games he's played. Nathaniel Sansom was another key player, shooting 71% from the field en route to 13 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Eula's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Whitharral, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eula will host Garner at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Whitharral, they will be playing at home against Farwell at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
