Olentangy Orange had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They never let the Olentangy Liberty Patriots get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 5-3 win two weeks ago.

Olentangy Orange pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Olentangy Liberty, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-5.

Olentangy Orange and Olentangy Liberty should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Meanwhile, Olentangy Liberty (ranked fourth) will meet Marysville (ranked 94th) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Patriots 2.7, the Monarchs 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
