Baseball Recap: Osseo-Fairchild Thunder vs. Arcadia Raiders
Osseo-Fairchild dropped their record down to 11-4 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell 11-7 to the Arcadia Raiders. The Thunder were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
As for Arcadia, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-11. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
For Arcadia's part, Deklyn Grzadzielewski was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave Grzadzielewski a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Sobbotta, who got on base in two of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Looking ahead, Osseo-Fairchild will venture away from home to take on Melrose-Mindoro at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Thunder surely won't give up without a fight. As for Arcadia, they will welcome Blair-Taylor at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
