East Lansing has gone 9-1 against Waverly recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Trojans will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated (East Lansing has 28 wins dating back to last season, while Waverly has four).

East Lansing had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 20-point drubbing they dealt Grand Ledge on Tuesday. The Trojans put the hurt on the Comets with a sharp 64-44 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Trojans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Comets are ranked 119th).

Kelvin (KJ) Torbert, Jr. had another great game (as he tends to do), going 7-for-13 en route to 21 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Kingston (KT) Thomas, who shot 58% from the field to rack up 18 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waverly). They blew past Everett 95-64 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Waverly's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for East Lansing, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

East Lansing strolled past Waverly in their previous matchup back in February by a score of 65-48. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
