Basketball Recap: Royall's Run of Five Straight Victories Now Over

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Royall couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 53-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cochrane-Fountain City Pirates on Saturday. The match marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

With the defeat, Royall broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 25-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points over those games. As for Cochrane-Fountain City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season.
