Recap: Dunnellon Tigers vs. New Smyrna Beach Barracudas
The Dunnellon Tigers lost against the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas back in December of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Dunnellon fell 53-41 to New Smyrna Beach. Dunnellon has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bode Burns, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Henry, who scored 11 points.
Dunnellon's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for New Smyrna Beach, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dunnellon will take on West Port at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (West Port is ranked 361st, while Dunnellon is ranked 352nd). As for New Smyrna Beach, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Deltona at 7:00 p.m.
