Baseball Game Preview: Richland Royals vs. Colleyville Heritage Panthers

Richland is 2-8 against Colleyville Heritage since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Royals will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Richland lost 17-1 to Grapevine on Thursday. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Colleyville Heritage waltzed into their contest on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Hawks get on the board and left with a 1-0 win.

Colleyville Heritage's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-9-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Richland, they now have a losing record of 13-14-1.

Richland couldn't quite get it done against Colleyville Heritage in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-0. Can the Royals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
