If Central A & M wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Shelbyville, they should've done a better job of containing Jackson Jokisch. The Shelbyville Rams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 48-45 win over the Central A & M Raiders on Tuesday thanks in part to Jokisch, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 11 boards. He has become a key player for Shelbyville: the team is 9-2 when he posts at least ten rebounds, but 6-7 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Myles Hammond, who posted 11 points and three blocks. Those three blocks gave him a new career-high.

The victory made it two in a row for Shelbyville and bumps their season record up to 15-9. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 9-16 Central A & M and 9-15 Central A & M. As for Central A & M, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-16.

Coming up, Shelbyville will take on Warrensburg-Latham at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Warrensburg-Latham will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Shelbyville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Central A & M, they will square off against Clinton at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
